Q: What are the major International Friends events each year?
A: There is a the Kickoff To Summer party in June, the First Dam Party at the end of summer and just before the Fall Semester begins in August, and a special Holiday before Christmas break.
Q: How can I receive notice of these events?
A: By becoming a member of IFP and receiving an email notice, by looking at our calendared events on this webpage site, or by looking for notices on our Facebook page.
Q: To what other international events are the public invited?
A: The Cache Community is invited to special events sponsored by the International Student Council, the Office of Global Engagement (OGE), and international student clubs. These include Chinese New Year, The Annual International Banquet, Dewali, the OGE Spring and Fall International Socials, and other special scheduled events. IFP will provide you notice as indicated above.
Q: Are there other specific activities for international students and community members to participate in?
A: At present there is a gardening group and a hiking group. The gardening group has a large community garden that is directed by Cache Valley gardeners. The hiking group has hikes scheduled on nearby mountain trails every other Saturday or Sunday. The hiking schedule is available by contacting Nathan Hult at nathanhult@gmail.com.
